A 15-Minute Daily Quran Practice Routine
You don't need an hour a day to make progress with the Quran. You need fifteen focused minutes, every day. The Prophet ﷺ said the most beloved deeds to Allah are the regular ones, even if small (Sahih al-Bukhari 6464).
The 15-minute routine
| Minutes | Activity |
|---|---|
| 0–2 | Settle: wudu, sit facing the qiblah if you can, seek refuge and say Bismillah |
| 2–5 | Listen to today's passage from a clear reciter |
| 5–10 | Read it aloud slowly, focusing on one Tajweed rule |
| 10–13 | Revise something you already know (a memorized surah or yesterday's page) |
| 13–15 | Read the translation of what you recited |
Choose your anchor
Attach the routine to something you already do every day:
- after Fajr;
- after your first coffee;
- straight after Isha;
- on your commute (listening and revision only).
Pick one rule a week
Instead of trying to perfect everything, focus on one Tajweed rule each week — Qalqalah one week, Ghunnah the next.
Track it
A simple tick on a calendar is surprisingly motivating. Aim for "don't break the chain".
Add a teacher once or twice a week
Daily practice plus one or two lessons with a teacher who corrects your mistakes is the fastest combination. See do online Quran classes really work?.
